Anub-Arak

We recently had a new addition to the family (not like you Bryson)!

We had a fun little critter join us named Anub-Arak (Noob for short). He's an Avicularia Purpurea, Ecuadoran Purple Pink Toe Tarantula.

The day we brought him home, both Sarah and Heidi insisted on holding him. I think they enjoyed their time together, till Noob decided to jump out of her hands. He's an arboreal tree spider from Ecuador and enjoys jumping from branch to branch.

Here's a close up of him in his take home cup. You can clearly see his pink toes.

In addition to his pink hooves shown above, he's got some nice fangs! Hmmm...hooves and fangs.


Nice close-up of his furry legs. He must be European.


Finally this is what he'll look like as an adult. How cool is a purple spider?

For kicks, here's Taylor's first pet Glut. He doesn't know when to stop eating, so he's perpetually about to pop.
