The twins were born Friday, Feb. 25th.
Harper Alexis came first at 2:03am and was 5 lbs. 8 oz. and was 17 1/2 inches long.
Hunter Alexander came at 2:08 am and was 6 lbs. 4 oz. and was 20 inches long.
Thursday night Taylor and I were working on our taxes when my water broke. We called our friends and dropped Heidi off and made it to the hospital at midnight. I was already a seven, got a quick epidural which thankfully kicked in quickly, and at 2 am I was pushing. Hunter swallowed a lot of fluid on the way out which got into his lungs - so he and Harper were quickly thrown on my chest for a quick picture (above) then quickly taken to the NICU. Harper was then brought to my room a couple hours later while Hunter was admitted to the NICU where he stayed for 8 days. I was so thankful to have my Mom and wonderful Husband by my side during my quick delivery process.
My Moms NICU knowledge was so helpful, during the tough process of visiting Hunter in the NICU. She was able to explain everything that he needed and reassure us of the great care he was receiving. We are so thankful for her skills and knowledge she brought to help care for the twins, we couldn't have done it without her.
Heidi was a little nervous at first when she came to the hospital and got to hold Harper, but she quickly warmed up to Harper and was checking her out. It was very sweet to watch Heidi hold her sister for the first time.
We are so thankful for the safe arrival of twins, they are so beautiful and we love them so much. They truely are a gift from God.

OOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, they are so sweet! Congrats! I can't believe you delivered twins that fast! That's so crazy you went from a family of 3 to a family of 5! That's so wonderful your mom was able to help so much with the baby in the NICU!
